He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph F. Benko and Helen Benko (Potoncey); his wife Jennie M. Benko (Abate); and his sisters, Mary Yaworsky, Helen Pavlosky and Elizabeth "Lizzy" Benko.
He is survived by: his friend Supermarket; his daughters, Barbara Rice (Tim) and Kathy Ellis; his grandchildren, Tim Rice (Sherry), Tom Rice, Tammy Stiles (Jerry), Nancy Mikos and Christine Knapik (Kevin); and his great grandchildren, Joey, Jenna Rice, Johnnie, Brandon Mikos, Hunter and Carter Knapik. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
