She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Tries and J. Pauline Haupt Van Tries; her husband Peter J. Nastase; and her siblings, Nancy Van Tries Kidd and Bill Van Tries.
She is survived by: her children, Peter J. Nastase II (Lisa) of Altoona and Deborah A. Phillips (Randy) of State College; her brother David Van Tries; and her grandchildren, Jonathan, Dane, Sam, Tessa, Luke Messina and Solana. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
