With solemn reverence, we commemorate Bruce Shimer Berkey of State College, Pennsylvania, whose life came to an end on October 7, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Berkey and Trella Carrel Berkey; and his sons, Eugene Blair Berkey and Bruce Lyle Berkey. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley McCombie; his daughters, Karen Sue Metzger (Leroy) of Pennsylvania Furnace and Arlene Gail Stahlman of Bellefonte; his siblings, Hattie Berkey of Johnstown and Chester Berkey (Barb) of Fishertown; and his daughters-in-law, Sandra Berkey and Ruth Berkey. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Koch Funeral Home (2401 S Atherton St, State College, PA 16801). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
