He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Berkey and Trella Carrel Berkey; his sons, Eugene Blair Berkey and Bruce Lyle Berkey; and his son-in-law Brian Stahlman.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley McCombie; his daughters, Karen Sue Metzger (Leroy) of Pennsylvania Furnace and Arlene Gail Stahlman of Bellefonte; his siblings, Hattie Berkey of Johnstown and Chester Berkey (Barb) of Fishertown; and his daughters-in-law, Sandra Berkey and Ruth Berkey. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
