Gladys E. Keener Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 9, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Gladys E. Keener of State College, Pennsylvania. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jonas Swartz and Dorothy Plank Swartz of Phoenixville, PA.; and her sisters, Carolyn Albrecht (Duane) and Lillian Knouse (Samuel). She is survived by: her husband Carl S. Keener; her children, Carl D. of Lancaster, PA and Dorothy Keener (Steve Ruhl) of Lancaster, PA; her grandchildren, Cedric Ruhl (Taylor) and Lindsey Ruhl (Tom Nolan); her daughter Joyce Thompson (William) of Mount Joy, PA; her grandchildren, Chad Scott of Mount Joy, PA and Joy Scott of Florida; her stepgrandchildren, Chase and Sarah Thompson; her brother Carl Swartz (Pam) of Salem, OR; and her sister-in-law Edna Brechbill of Manheim, PA.. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the University Mennonite Church (1606 Norma St, State College, PA 16801).
