It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Eugene Agnew Jr. of State College, Pennsylvania, born in Kingston, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 12, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, James E. Agnew and Ellen Agnew (Tretheway). He is survived by : his wife Colleen J. Agnew (Antonition); his daughters, Heather D. Agnew (Bert T. Lai) of Culver City, CA, Jennifer L. Agnew of New York, NY and Kristin M. Agnew of State College; and his sister Judy E. Verespy of Lancaster.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association or Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.

“Just found out today about Jim's passing from his wife Colleen. I worked with him at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant. He was a bright light during many stressful days. Always smiling and kind. Excellent instructor who was admired by so many students and coworkers. Once I retired, he NEVER missed sending me a Christmas Card except this Christmas. Thats ok. He spent Christmas with Jesus.
