It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James M. Mattas II of State College, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 4, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James M., I and Dorothy Mattas (Shute); and his brother Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl A. Coffman; his children, Jamie L. Mattas-Plowman, James M. III and Justin L. Mattas; his grandchildren, Abigail, Alexis, Emilee, Joshua Starr, Madison and Charlie Mattas; and his brothers, Jeffrey, Dennis, Todd and Scott Mattas.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. (618 Martin St, Bellwood, PA 16617). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
