He was predeceased by: his parents, John Y. First Sr. and Julia K. First. He is survived by: his wife Barbara L. First of Port Matilda, PA; his daughters, Elizabeth (Roberto Labrin) of Bellefonte, PA and Suzanne (Nick Skapyak) of Minneapolis, MN; his grandchildren, Aleksei and Peter Skapyak; and his siblings, William K. First, Mary Anne Claar and Susan Davis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
