He is survived by: his children, Monique Whalen (Patrick), Curt Brickell and Jason Brickell (Tara); his brother Rear Admiral Charles Brickell, USN, Retired; his grandchildren, Jesse Whalen (Romilyn), Averi McNeel (Clayton), Nicole Schneider (Greg), Abigail Whalen, Ayden Brickell, Charlie Brickell and Lily Brickell; and his great grandchildren, Bode and Dahlia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
