He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Metzner and Jeanette Metzner; and his former wife Barbara Metzner. He is survived by: his wife Ida Balashova; his brother Frederick Metzner; and his children, Adam J., Mark S. Metzner and Samantha C. Baker.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Koch Funeral Home (2401 S Atherton St, State College, PA 16801). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Pine Hall Cemetery (1767 W College Ave, State College, PA 16801).
His memory will continue to inspire all who knew him, and his contributions to the field of computer science and engineering will endure for generations to come.
