The family announces the passing of Lawrence Ritchey of State College, Pennsylvania on October 10, 2026. Lawrence, born on June 17, 1934, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Lawrence will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Lawrence by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Lawrence is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Lawrence’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Ritchey and Catherine Ritchey of Levittown, Pennsylvania.; and his sister Louise Davis (Ritchey) of Morrisville, Pennsylvania.. He is survived by: his sons, Michael (Diane) of Friendswood, Texas, James (Sue) of Sterling, Virginia and Christopher (Susan) of Sterling, Virginia.; and his brother John Ritchey of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.. He is also survived by six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Koch Funeral Home (2401 S Atherton St, State College, PA 16801). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church (820 Westerly Pkwy, State College, PA 16801).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Larry's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
