He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Deane Cox and Rosemarie Cox (Russ); and his sister-in-law Marlene Marzoch. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn "Lynne" Kertis-Cox; his son Shawn Michael Roman; his siblings, Jeffrey Jay Cox of Silver Spring, John Howard Cox of Silver Spring and Mary Suzanne Himmelberg (Theodore) of Mount Airy, Maryland.; his nieces, Angela Himmelberg of New York City, Erica Himmelberg of Mt. Airy and Melissa Hickey (Robert) of Warrington, Pennsylvania.; and his brother-in-law Jerome Marzoch. He is also survived by his family and extended family, Michael leaves behind many close friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday December 16th, 2025 at 11:00AM, Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College, Pa. 16801, Expressions of sympathy may be offered to the family at Beardsleyfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael's name to The American Heart Association.
