He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Clyde and Marguerite Elizabeth Green; his siblings, Ronald and Fern; and his former wife Connie Dippery Mackes.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Totzke Mackes; his children, Christina Mueller, Dana Reish (Jeff), Vicki Dugan (Mark), Christine Igoe (Bob) and Edward Mackes (Barb); and his sister Marjorie Hobbs. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Grace Lutheran Church or http://www.savechildcare.org., a Kiwanis endeavor that Paul eagerly supported.
