He was predeceased by: his parents, George M. Byers and Francys Byers (Stayer). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth M. "Betty" Noss; and his children, Mark Byers (Patricia), Kelly Behe (Christopher), Todd Byers (DeNiel) and Eric Byers (Erica). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
