The memory of Ruby Gale Saylor Poole of State College, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 16, 2025 at the age of 84, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Rudolph Saylor and Audrey Lucille Livingston Saylor; her brothers, Victor Saylor Jr. and Dennis Livingston Saylor (La Dawna Saylor) of Ashland, OR; and her half-siblings, Opal Saylor Walker (Robert Walker) and Quay Saylor (Marie Saylor).
She is survived by: her children, Amy H. Garbrick (Donald F. Garbrick) of State College, PA and Daniel Saylor Poole (Robert T. Adsit) of Madison, WI; her sister Malinda Saylor Lloyd (Richard Lloyd) of Johnstown, PA.; her grandchildren, Jimmy Hughes of State College, PA and Jacquelyn Hughes of Boalsburg, PA.; her spouse Ophelia-Marie Hughes; and her great grandchildren, Octavia-Joy Za, Judah Don Lynn, Jasper Alan and Calista Jane Hughes.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Koch Funeral Home (2401 S Atherton St, State College, PA 16801). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Christ Community Church of State College (200 Ellis Pl, State College, PA 16801).
