He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy "Ben" Mersinger and Violet C. "Rote" Mersinger; his grandmother Minnie Mae Rote; and his brother-in-law Kevin Lingle. He is survived by: his children, Minnie Goshorn (Adam) of Fayetteville, Tim Hosterman (Tammy) of Millheim and Tom Hosterman (Amy) of Harrisburg; his siblings, Hope Lingle of Aaronsburg and Duane Mersinger (Rosanna) of Coburn; his grandchildren, Makenna, Colin, Tucker Hosterman, Seth and Quintin Turner; his fiancée Susan Stoner; and his pet Jack "Stinky".
