He was predeceased by: his parents, Don L. Detwiler, Sr. and Kathryn Detwiler (Quarry); his wife Kathryn A. Werst; and his siblings, Don Jr., June, Ivan, Lucielle, Harper, Mildred and Frederick.
He is survived by: his children, Detwiler, Jr. (Kimberly) of McLean, VA, Ann E. Merrick (L. James) of Glen Rock, PA and Detwiler (Michelle) of Falls Church, VA.; and his grandchildren, Jacob, Lorraine, Madeleine, Wayne III (Leo) and Sydney.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Juniata Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America, 9 Taylor Drive, Reedsville, PA 17084.
