He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene A. Vance, Jr. and Alice F. Anspach Vance. He is survived by: his son Gregory Vance; his close friend Jan I. Bensch (Ray); his sister Patricia Schneider (Denny); his sibling's children, Amy Shehan and Troy Schneider; his great-nieces, Arabella and Amelia; his great-nephew Luke; and also Evan Bensch.
