He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucious Gordon and Bernice Gordon; and his siblings, Diane McRoy and Robert Gordon. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Gordon; his children, Franklin Gordon, Jr., William "Yarnell" Poteat, Leverne Grier, Jr., Michelle Gordon, Sharina Poteat, Tawana Poteat, LaTasha Scrimmager and DeShan Brummell (Matthew); and his siblings, Deborah Glover (Ronald) and Nathaniel "Ronnie" Gordon. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, as well as a host of great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home (704 N Front St, Steelton, PA 17113). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
