He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lloyd Payton and Vesta Liles Payton; his wife LuAnn Mollica Payton; and his siblings, Betty, Clarence, Clinton, Rosie May, Beatrice, Clara and Michael Bajish, Sr..
He is survived by: his children, William L. Payton, Jr. (Naomi), Amy Payton Backo, Tobey John Payton and Katey Payton; his grandchildren, Amber Coyne (Johnny), Harley Backo, Lydia Payton and Olivia Payton; his great grandchildren, Everly Durkin and Declan Backo; his former wife Harriett Payton; his cousins, Velinda, Shannon and Andy; and his brother Wayne Keeney. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sheldon Funeral Home (155 Church St, Wyalusing, PA 18853). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
