He was predeceased by: his parents, William Buchanan and Lillian Buchanan (Hottle); his wife Wava Jane Wain; his son Randy; his granddaughters, McKenzie Noel Buchanan and Katelin Cole Phillippi; and his siblings, Robert, Evelyn Lorence, Ruby Weigle and Betty Stopa.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vickie Gibbons, Deborah (Charles Adams), Christine Blasco and Karen (Alfred Alvarez); his daughter-in-law Patricia Buchanan; his grandchildren, Rebecca Buchanan (Jill), Kimberly Buchanan, Michael (Shannon), Brian Adams (Lisa), Colton William Buchanan, Shaun Tomko (Paige), Josh and Jeremy Alvarez; his great grandchildren, Brock, Blaze, Trinity, Braden, Trevor (Mary), Camren, Carsen, Rylee, Ian and Isaac; and his great great grandchildren, Caydence and Payson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
