He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Meek and Helen Brown Meek; his wife Barbara Shelpeck Meek; his grandson James Gross; his great grandchild Peyton Mayoyo; and his siblings, Robert, Edwin, Mary, Quentin and Coulter.
He is survived by: his children, Leslie Laughlin (David), Susan Gross (Strother) and David Meek (Pam). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
