He is survived by: his parents, Robert L. "Bobby" Mackes and Mary Mackes (Enderly); his brother Christopher Mackes (Ashley); his sibling's children, Henry and Hanna; and his girlfriend Sarah DeMaio.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the William H. Kresge Funeral Home, Inc. (1763 US-209, Brodheadsville, PA 18322). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 212 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018, or to Camp Papillon, 128 Brainerd Lane, Stroudsburg PA 18360.
