Though Deborah may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Deborah touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter S. Peeney, Sr. and Catherine Burke Peeney. She is survived by: her husband J. Patrick Hickey, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Emily Ann Hickey, Grace Catherine Hickey, Luke Daniel Hickey and Jackson Bennett Hickey. She is also survived by her three children and their spouses.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church (78 Ridgeway St, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Notre Dame Jr./Sr. High School in the name of Deborah P.
