It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elaine Stys (Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania), born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on December 30, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Edward S. Stys; her parents, Arthur Horton and Mary Horton; her daughter Cindy Stys Decorges (Guy); her granddaughter Ashlyn; her sister Marylyn Gockeler (John) of Easton, PA; her sisters-in-law, Gloria Surdykowski of Short Hills, NJ and Patricia Stys of East Stroudsburg; and her sister Patricia Forder. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Elaine's name can be made for the Conservation Camp mailed to the Monroe County Conservation District at 8050 Running Valley Road, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.

“My three cousins, Elaine, Patricia, and Marylyn were so special to me. They were the daughters of my mother’s brother, Arthur. I loved when they would come down to visit us in Asbury Park in the summer and we would spend the days at the Monte Carlo pool and beach. We had such fun. I had the honor of being in Elaine and Eddie’s wedding too. I will miss you Elaine. You were a beautiful person both inside and out. Your cousin, Lynn Lundy Brocker”
