We are sad to announce that on February 13, 2024, at the age of 78, Emil J. Schappert of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Emil J. Schappert Sr. and Joan Schappert (Meighan); his daughter Amy Laura; and his brothers, Robert and James.

He is survived by : his wife Sharon Schappert (Kanick); his son David; his daughter-in-law Lorin Schappert; his daughter Sara Ferguson (Neal Johnson); his son-in-law Doug Ferguson; his siblings, Joan Brett (Jerry) of Colorado, Cathy Tkaczyk (Dave) of Shavertown and Tom Schappert (Beth) of Florida; his aunt Theresa Murphy of Wilkes-Barre; and his grandchildren, Cate, Venus (Sophia) and Gabe Ferguson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
