He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Scheaffel and Mary Scheaffel (Koheler); his siblings, Frederick Scheaffel Jr. and Lucy LaForte; his wife MaryAnn (D'Agostino); and his son Henry "Skip" Scheaffel.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Crispe, Sandi (Len Viscito), Patti Nadeau, Jean (David Kraemer) and Meg Scheaffel; his stepchildren, Nancy (John Brower) and Russell D'Agostino; and his caregivers, Donna Marie Elgawly, Dorothy Thornton and Angel Rassias. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
