He was predeceased by : his parents, Jerome S. Blakeslee, Sr. and Della Blakeslee (Burger); his wife Sara Ann; and his siblings, Jerome Blakeslee, Jr., Samuel Blakeslee Sr., Ruth Heller (Blakeslee), Verna Dennis (Blakeslee) and Vee Ann Blakeslee.

He is survived by : his children, Laurie Schaller (John), Maria Blakeslee and Howard Blakeslee, Jr.; his grandchildren, Erin Huck (Schaller) and Derek Schaller; and his great grandchildren, Landon Schaller and Ashton Huck. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
