It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Powanda of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, born in Garwood, New Jersey, who passed away on December 2, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Wasyl Powanda and Pearl Powanda; and his granddaughter Katelynn Accettola. He is survived by : his wife Karen (McCarthy); his children, John (Debbi) and Lori (Ted Vlamis); his grandchildren, Mark (Mary), Alex Powanda (Amanda Smith), Zoe, Nick Vlamis, Max and Luke Powanda; and his great grandchild Kai Powanda.

In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to St. Luke's Hospice.
