He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Counterman and Helen L. Counterman (Lauer); and his siblings, William F. Counterman, John E. Counterman and Barbara Burkholder.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann (Strouse); his children, Dawn Soto (Bruce) and Butch Counterman (Meghan Hulihan) of Stroud Township; his grandchildren, Amber Counterman, Peyton Soto and Austin Soto; his great grandchildren, Eziah Counterman and Azaria Counterman; and his siblings, Shirley DeHaven of Galax, VA, Marion Shank of Jay, ME, Ronald Counterman of East Stroudsburg and Larry Counterman of Ohio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
