He was predeceased by : his parents, John Diehl and Julia Diehl (Markunis); and his brothers, Eugene Diehl and John Diehl. He is survived by : his wife Florence Diehl (Kapes); his sons, Gerald Diehl (Kathy Miller) and Daniel Diehl (Karen) of Ridgewood; his granddaughters, Lauren Clark (Matthew) of San Antonio, TX, Allison Medvecky (John) of San Antonio, TX, Kacee Diehl of Bayonne, NJ and Kaitlyn Diehl of Ridgewood; and his great grandchild Jay Medvecky.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. John Bosco Church (573 PA-93, Sugarloaf, PA 18249). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Bosco R. C. Church (573 PA-93, Sugarloaf, PA 18249).
