She was predeceased by: her parents, John Niper, Sr. and Mildred Cordwell Niper; her husband David McCarty, Jr.; her siblings, John Niper, Jr., Judy Niper, Kathy Niper, Barbara Niper and Diane Terwilliger; and her pet Jack.
She is survived by: her brother-in-law Wayne Terwilliger; and her pets, Sam, Charlie and Malachi. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Her family suggests memorial contributions be made in Mrs. McCarty's memory to either the Cancer Society or an animal shelter of one's choice.
