Kathryn Jolene (Cole) Zezza August 11th, 1936 - April 21st 2023 Kathryn Jolene (Cole) Zezza passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Born in Coffeyville, Kansas. Daughter of the late James and Helen (Cadle) Cole.
Preceded in death by her husband Andrew Zezza, mother in law Sara (Kane) Zezza, father in law Charles "Chas" Zezza, brother in law Nicolas Zezza, sister in law Nora (Charles II) Belavic. Survived by 4 children, Denise, Sally (George) Leventis, Charles (Pam Tozzi), and Rachel (Bill Klems). Grandchildren; Alea DelPrete, Andrew (Tela Cioppa) Katelyn (Jacob Strutt) and Emily. Great-grandchildren; Jacob, Carlo, Rocco. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Beloved friend to Mary Taylor, Colletta Hall, Gerri Vincent, the late Connie DiLucente.
Kathryn was an avid reader, mystery lover, piano player, loved a good crossword puzzle and traveling. Kathryn studied English Lit and History; she was the Director of Career services at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh and retired in 1998.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend who loved spending time with her family. Kathryn was noted for being an exceptional conversationalist– one of her many amazing strengths.
A private service will be held for the family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the St. Therese Roman Catholic Church on Monday, May 1, 2023 at 11 A.M. Arrangements entrusted to the Thomas L. Nied Funeral Home, Inc. 7441 Washington Street, Swissvale.
