He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Edward Hathaway and Frances Bertha Hathaway (Longaker); his son John Frank Hathaway, Jr.; and his sisters, Ruth Edna Hathaway, Shirley Carol Hathaway and Frances Evelyn Nice.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Purpura (Walker); his daughter Lynne Anne Hathaway of Harleysville, PA; and his stepchildren, Bruce Purpura (Camille) of Berlin, MD, Denise Schneer (Kenny) of Allentown, PA and Karen Purpura of Richfield Park, NJ. He is also survived by six step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Community Chapel (235 N Washington St, Telford, PA 18969).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Community at Telford in Jack's memory either through the Grace Inspired Living.
