She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Jacob and Agnes Heffner (Heffner); her son Alan J. Hughes, Sr. (Carol); and her grandson Alan J. Hughes, Jr.. She is survived by: her child Thomas J. Hughes; her spouse Barbara A. (Hill) of Muhlenberg Township; and her pet Chloe. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (3300 Kutztown Rd, Reading, PA 19605). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church (3121 Kutztown Rd, Reading, PA 19605). A committal service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Gethsemane Cemetery (3139 Kutztown Rd, Reading, PA 19605).
