He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert T. Getty, Sr. and Thelma Getty (Welch); and his grandfather Bob. He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginny" A. Getty (Maccarone); his sons, Robert Getty III (Erin Collins Getty) of Hermosa Beach, CA and Matthew Getty (Cheri Getty) of Carlisle, PA; his granddaughters, Sophia and Maddy Getty; and his sister Ann Getty Beckwith (Charles Beckwith) of Shelter Island.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (5153 Kutztown Rd, Temple, PA 19560). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church (3121 Kutztown Rd, Reading, PA 19605).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob's memory may be offered to the American Heart Association, http://www.heart.org, or to the American Diabetes Association, https://diabetes.org.
