He was predeceased by: his parents, Delvin Benner and Helen Benner (Mitten); his former wife Barbara E. Benner (Lindsey); his grandson Joseph Strauser; his great grandchild Ethan Strauser; and his siblings, Shirley Bollinger, Nancy Bolton, Charlene Bailey, Sarah Mae Leach and Dennis Bryner.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy A. Benner (Adams); his children, Rick Benner (Gloria) of Thompsontown, Sarah Allison of Camp Hill and Helen Wood of Camp Hill; his grandchildren, Nichol Strauser (Curt Delbaugh), Lisa Miller (Cody), Tobie Pellman (Ryan), John Allison, James Haines, Jamie Smith (TJ) and Brooke Clark; his siblings, John Benner (Kay) of Liverpool, Robert Benner of Licking Creek and Donna Lauver (Gary) of Freeburg; his brother-in-law Maynard Bailey of Middleburg; and his pet Susie. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crossroads Church of Prophecy (9988 PA-235, Thompsontown, PA 17094). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
