With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Symmerman of Thompsontown, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 3, 2025 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Symmerman, and Janet C. Symmerman, Sr. (McCulloch); and his sister Deborah E. Bender (Harmon "Hump" Bender). He is survived by: his wife Christine W. Symmerman (Swailes); his stepdaughters, Wendy S. Hawse (Jeff) and Sheri L. Bowersox (Pernell); his grandchildren, Lauren Klingman, Brian L. Bowersox (Abby) and Rachel L. Murdick (Aiden); and his sisters, Brenda Rager and Julie Symmerman.
Viewing was held on Monday, September 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Guss Funeral Home, Inc. (20 S 3rd St, Mifflintown, PA 17059). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
