He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Whitsel and Merla Whitsel (Lane); his son Bennard Whitsel (Neil); and his son-in-law Terry Carowick. He is survived by: his wife Audrey A. Whitsel; his daughters, Deanna K. Carowick, Theresa M. Bowser (George) and Rhonda L. Fleck (Estal); and his daughter-in-law Cindy Whitsel.
