She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph E. Jr. Hija and Mavis O. Hija (Crandall); her husband Jerry Phelps; and her siblings, Raymond Hija and Alice Hija.
She is survived by: her children, Nora L. (Phelps), Ashley Brockway of Tioga, PA and Jake Phelps of Tioga, PA; her grandchildren, Chad Brockway, Nikki Brockway, Brandy, Jake Hartz and Lily Phelps; her great grandchildren, AshLynn, Serenity, Skylar, Zane, Adry and Arlo; and her brother Tom Hija of Osceola, PA. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Kenyon Funeral Home (214 W Main St, Elkland, PA 16920). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
