He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary M. "Peg" Oboth McConnell and Charles "Bill" McConnell; his brother Patrick M. McConnell; and his brother-in-law Rev. Jon D. Gustafson. He is survived by: his nephew Thomas J. "Tommy" McConnell, Jr.; his children, Edward J. McConnell IV (Lisa) of Seattle, WA and Heather-Renee Rinderle (Rene) of Mentor, OH; his siblings, Maureen Eaton (James Eaton) of Grove City, PA, Thomas McConnell Sr. (Rieko) of Gallatin, TN and Timothy McConnell; his sister-in-law Betty McLean of Fairport, NY; his brother Terrence McConnell of Thonotosassa, FL; his friend Kathleen Cassano of Erie, PA; his grandchildren, Christopher M. Rinderle (Julianna) of Willoughby, OH, Donovan J. Rinderle of Mentor, OH, Anderson W. Rinderle of Mentor, OH and Samantha R. Rinderle of Mentor, OH; and his friends, Dave Marino of Erie and Jeff Walter of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews.
