She was predeceased by : her parents, Clyde McIver and Vera Tracy McIver; her husband Samuel L. Acel, Jr.; her sons, David, Keith and Kenneth Acel; and her brother Forrest M. "Pete" McIver.

She is survived by : her grandchildren, Kyle Acel (Heather), Kevin Acel (Dawn), Korey Acel (Jaime), Tammy Acel Smith (Jason Schneider), Ryan Acel and Charity Mondak; and her daughter-in-law Susan Acel. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
