He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Samonsky II and Anabel Scott Samonsky; and his wife Jackalyn A. "Jackie" Samonsky. He is survived by: his children, John H. Samonsky IV (Kristen) of New Market, MD, James S. Samonsky (Christine) of Titusville, PA and Jennifer D. Samonsky (Jason Daniels) of Garner, NC; his grandchildren, John H. Samonsky V, Tyler S. Samonsky, Olivia J. Samonsky, Sam J. Samonsky and Alexander J. Samonsky; his sister Jill Flinchbaugh (Clint); and his siblings-in-law, Rev. Gale Boocks (Donna) and Linda Stevenson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
