He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert N. Burrell, Sr. and Evelyn Saunders Gilson; his sister Lisa Crites; his daughters, Natasha and Brandy; and his stepsiblings, Penny and Tom.

He is survived by: his children, Robert N. Burrell, Jr. of California, Amanda and Grace; his sister Elizabeth Legg; his stepsister Susan Obert; his niece Tara Burrell Watson (Jamie); and his friends, Connie Herr and Ronnie Nichols. He is also survived by several grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
