He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Gilbert and Lucille Higgins Gilbert; and his son Elic Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Billie Joyce Seltz of Titusville; his daughter Nancy J. Clark (Doug) of Titusville; his brother Dr. Gary Gilbert (Betty Ruth) of Huntington, WV; and his grandchildren, Celeste Gilbert of Virginia, Chad Gilbert of Texas, Matthew Kingen of North Carolina and Autumn Kingen Smith of Franklin, PA. He is also survived by six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Venango Co. Humane Society 286 S. Main St. Seneca, PA 16346.
