It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph A. Kutyana (Towanda, Pennsylvania), born in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 3, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Kutyana and Anna Yanchic Kutyana; and his siblings, Dorothy Gayeski and Albert Kutyana. He is survived by : his wife Betty E. Vanderpool Kutyana; his children, Anthony "Tony" Kutyana of Towanda and Joanne Koss of Towanda; his granddaughter Nicolette Koss of Scranton; his great grandchildren, Sydney VanValen and Vada VanValen of Scranton; and his siblings, Paul Kutyana of Florida, Eleanor Kuzman of Swoyersville, Louise Adamchick and Delores Simmonitis of Forty Fort, PA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family suggests that contributions be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis TN 38101-9908 in memory of Joseph A. Kutyana.
