He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Brown and Ethel Updegrave Brown; his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Brown; his granddaughter Kera Lynn Koppenhaver; and his brothers, Jacque and William Brown.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl L. Fulk (Paul), Debra D. Daniels (late H. Fred) and Lori J. Koppenhaver (Jim); and his grandchildren, Ginger Fleegal-Fulk, Adam Koppenhaver, Samantha Schoffstall, Tara Shultz and James Schoffstall. He is also survived by five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
