James E. Snyder Sr. Obituary

James E. Snyder, Sr., 75, of Tower City, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at UPMC-Osteopathic, Harrisburg.

Born in Lykens, November 30, 1947, a son of the late Lester and Wanda Matio Snyder.

Jim retired from Reiff & Nestor, Lykens after 45 years of service.

Jim loved the outdoors and could often be found hunting, fishing, or going on walks around the neighborhood. He was an avid Williams Valley football fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his cat Lacy. Above all, his family was his world.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Deppen, and a brother, Lester Snyder, Jr.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Sandy Nelson Snyder; three children, LeeAnn Schwalm (Jaymie), Williamstown, James Snyder Jr. (Renee), Orwin, and Jeremy Snyder (Walter Shroy), Harrisburg; two grandchildren, Brandon Schwalm, Schuylkill Haven, and Sarah Snyder, Orwin; a sister, Susan Smith, Harrisburg; a brother, John Snyder (Sue), Dayton; nieces and nephews.

Following Jim's wishes, there will be no services.
