He was predeceased by: his parents, Norris Hunt and Sara Heahn Hunt; his daughter Tracey Marie Hunt Frederick; his granddaughters, Catie and Katherine Hunt; and his siblings, Sheri Claypoole, Benita Hunt and Charles Hunt.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Murphy of Townville; his children, Shelby Dougherty (Patrick Daley) of Hydetown, Angie Hunt (Johnny Phillips) of Titusville and John Hunt II (Sarah) of Eldersburg, MD; his grandchildren, Tyler Deeter, Tiela Hunt, Denver Hunt, Courtney Jackson, Cody, Nathan Schueler, Ben and Alice Hunt; his great grandchildren, Kayden, Annabelle, Ainsley, Piper, Daxton and Sophia; and his sisters, Irene Hunt of Titusville and Mary Jane Caldwell of Erie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
