He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Kmetz; his children, Ed Shemansky (Debbie), Judy Dougherty (Jim), Michael Shemansky (Andrea), Petty Officer 2nd Class Bernadette Farran, USN, (Ret) and husband, Petty Officer 2nd Class Matt Farran, USN, (Ret) and Paul Shemansky (Mercy); his grandchildren, Lindsey Horlacher, Meghan Tipsword, Tiffany O'Donnell, Shawn Dougherty, Michael Shemansky, Danielle Horwath, Andrew Shemansky and Paxton Shemansky; his sister Theresa Tarapchak; and his sister-in-law Carol Shemansky. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
