It is with sadness that the passing of Catherine Baysek of Troy, Pennsylvania is shared. Catherine, born on December 4, 1941, passed away on September 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Catherine will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Catherine by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Catherine is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Catherine’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her husband Louis J. Baysek; her daughter Kimberly Young (Baysek); and her brother Frank Kainz. She is survived by: her son-in-law Ronald Young; her nephews, David and Edward Baysek; and her niece Mary Ann Heid. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hughes Funeral Home, Inc. (1501 Lowrie St, Pittsburgh, PA 15212). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Most Holy Name Church (1520 Claim St, Pittsburgh, PA 15212).
In lieu of flowers, Cathy's family respectfully requests that donations in her name be made to the Special Education CCD Program of Most Holy Name Church, 1700 Harpster Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
